Rudolph’s work is built with an intention of exploring the relationship between hard and soft. The malleable clay yields to my fingers as she pinches the forms into shape records the slow and methodical building process. This soft, undulating texture created with each pinch finds its counterpoint in the sharp angles and curved edges that define the geometry of the chair, table or stool.
