The exhibition runs alongside another inaugural exhibition by Andrew Casto. Both artists are exploring the possibilities of abstraction through movement, gesture, surface and palette. However, Jennifer Lefort explores abstraction’s winding roads with paintings featuring punches of color and distorted patterns. The artist uses contrasting colors, textures and spacial illusions in both her paintings and sculptural work, that on a whole seem abstract but consist of components of the work that are pulled from contemporary life.
